Angel Olsen Shares Video for New Song “Special”

Angel Olsen has released a video accompanying her new single “Special”. The video compliments the dreaminess of the song and features sepia-toned home-video-style footage which was shot and edited by Olsen herself. Check it out below.

The song comes from the recording sessions of her previous album My Woman, but will be on her upcoming LP, a collection of rarities called Phases. The album will be released on November 10th.

Angel Olsen is set to play a back-to-back show at the Phoenix on December 6th and 7th.

tUnE-yArDs Announce New Album, Share New Song “Look at Your Hands”

A new tUnE-yArDs album is in the works and can be expected to arrive January 19th via 4AD. The album, I can feel you creep into my private life, will be the first since 2014’s Nikki Nack and their fourth overall.

The 12-track collection was written by front-woman Merrill Garbus, and produced by newly official member Nate Brenner, who’s been a longtime collaborator. In addition to the announcement, the band has released a taste of what to expect from the new album in the form of “Look at Your Hands”, an 80’s-inspired synth track featuring some funky bass.

tUnE-yArDs will be on the road next month and have released a schedule of their upcoming tour dates. They will be at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on March 6th.

Franz Ferdinand Share New Song “Always Ascending”, Announce Album of the Same Name

Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand have announced plans to release their fifth studio LP Always Ascending via Domino, which follows 2013’s Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action and their 2015 collaborative effort FFS.

The new album is slated for a February 9th release and has been previewed by title-track “Always Ascending” which can be heard below. The album is the band’s first with their new lineup featuring Julian Corrie (keyboards, guitar) and Dino Bardot (guitar) joining original members Alex Kapranos, Bob Hardy, and Paul Thompson following the departure of co-founder Nick McCarthy in 2016.

Franz Ferdinand are also set to embark on a world tour at the end of the month which will see them play at Rebel in Toronto on April 8th.
