Michael Cera Shares New Song with Sharon Van Etten

Actor Michael Cera has been known to dabble in the art of music, as fans of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World are well aware. So, it shouldn’t be entirely surprising that he’s released a new song titled “Best I Can”, which features vocals from Sharon Van Etten.

The song was written for the upcoming documentary Dina, and was produced in case the film’s directors, Dan Sickles and Antonio Santini, were not able to get the rights to “Only You” by Yaz. It worked out that they were able to secure the rights, but not wanting to let Cera’s efforts be in vain, they decided to include it in the film’s credits. In addition, they directed a music video for “Best I Can” which is performed by Sharon Van Etten after a chance encounter with Cera at a bar resulted in him asking her to perform the vocals.
