Quicksand Share New Song, Announce First Album in 22 Years  

Following more than a score of years since the release of their last album, Quicksand have returned suddenly to grace us with a new single, titled Illuminant. You can listen to it below.

 The song is the first to be released off their upcoming album, which will be called Interiors. A release date of November 10th has been announced for the LP, and a North American tour has also been revealed in its support, including a stop at Lee’s Palace on September 25th.

Quicksand last released an album in 1995 – Manic Compression – before breaking up. A brief reunion followed in 1999, but the band called it quits once again before coming back together in 2012.


King Krule Shares New Song and Video, “Czech One”, Will be Touring Soon

Archy Marshall’s alias King Krule has returned with a new song, and it’s called Czech One. It’s been released via True Panther/XL, and has been accompanied by a surreal video, which is available for your viewing pleasure below.

Marshall’s last album under the King Krule moniker was 2013’s 6 Feet Beneath the Moon. Nevertheless, he’s still been active as in 2015 he released an album as Archy Marshall titled A New Place 2 Drown.

King Krule has also announced a tour starting in October throughout North America and Europe. He will be at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on October 29th.

We Can Now Confirm the Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett Collaboration is Coming Soon

It turns out rumors of a Vile-Barnett collaboration were not exaggerated. The possibility of the two making music together had been speculated since last year, and now both artists have taken to social media to confirm the partnership.

The pair each tweeted a teaser clip each, with dates alluding to an upcoming album. Per the videos, those dates will be August 31st in Australia and New Zealand, and August 30th everywhere else.

This time next week we’ll all be able to enjoy the sweet sounds of Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett playing some beautiful music.
