Listen to Nine Inch Nails’ Latest Song, “THIS ISN’T THE PLACE”
ADD VIOLENCE, the second of Nine Inch Nails planned trilogy of EP’s, is set to come out this Friday, July 21st, and the band has shared a second single in anticipation of this release. The song is called “THIS ISN’T THE PLACE”, and it’s an unnervingly subdued number. You can listen to the song below (it’s accompanied by a visual directed by Alex Lieu). NIN’s previous EP, Not the Actual Events, was released in December 2016. Previously, the band released “LESS THAN” as the first single off the new EP.
Danny Michel’s Guitar Goes Missing in Barrie
Kitchener-Waterloo’s Danny Michel recently found himself in Barrie for a short stint when a valued possession went missing: his guitar. According to his Twitter, the instrument in question was last seen around 10 a.m. on July 17th at the Tesla charging station, on 100 Mapleview Dr. E in Barrie. The guitar is a 1963 Gibson B-25 and is valued between $2,500 and $3,000, but its sentimental value is “priceless”. The songwriter is nonetheless offering a cash reward to anyone who can help him find it.
Michel’s latest LP, Khlebnikov, released in January of this year, was written during an 18-day voyage through the Arctic Ocean that the singer-songwriter spent aboard the Kapitan Khlebnikov.
Find his full plea below, as well as contact information should anyone have any information.

The War on Drugs Share New Song, “Strangest Thing”
The War on Drugs are a little more than a month out from the August 25th release of their highly-anticipated fourth studio album, A Deeper Understanding. After two teasers in the form of “Holding On”, and “Thinking of the Place”, the band has come back with a third track, “Strangest Thing”. The slow-building song expands in a splendidly sprawling way as it extends to the near seven-minute mark. Give it a listen below.
