OMD Release Soaring New Song ‘Isotope’, Alongside Psychedelic Video
Britain’s Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark, or OMD for short, have been making music for a long time, and they’re not done yet. The Punishment of Luxury will be out on September 1st and will be the band’s 13th album in total, following 2013’s English Electric. Earlier in the month they released the lead single, ‘La Mitrailleuse’, and they have now followed it up with ‘Isotope’ a more than six-minute song that takes you on an entrancing voyage. The song is accompanied by an equally hypnotic video, which, as NPR notes, takes inspiration from a 1930’s pictorial language developed by Austrian philosopher Otto Neurath and German artist Gerd Arntz.
