Danny Brown Shares Darkly Satirical “Ain’t It Funny” Music Video Directed by Jonah Hill

Danny Brown recently teamed up with actor Jonah Hill to create a dark and bloody video for his single Ain’t It Funny, off Brown’s latest album Atrocity Exhibition. You can check out the video, which features Brown as “Uncle Danny” in a satirical take on the classic sitcom, and eventually sees him attacked by a life-size cough syrup bottle and Xanax bar. The video also features a cameo from director Gus Van Sant, of Good Will Hunting fame, and “Growing Pains” actress Joanna Kerns.


Amber Coffman Opens Up About Her Leaving The Dirty Projectors, New Solo Album

Last Fall, former member of The Dirty Projectors, Amber Coffman released a new single, All To Myself, and with it shared the news that a solo LP would soon follow. As the release of her new album, City of No Reply, approaches, Coffman has also released a statement via Stereogum detailing her departure from The Dirty Projectors.

In the statement, Coffman discusses the end of her six-year relationship with Dirty Projectors -collaborator Dave Longstreth, who also helped her produce her new solo work. However, things ultimately took a turn for the worse.

“It was never my intention to leave the band or end my friendship with Dave.” She was also surprised to learn that The Dirty Projectors had announced a new album without her but explains that “walking away was the only healthy choice for me.”

Slowdive Announces First Album in 22 Years, Release Single “Sugar For The Pill”

Slowdive has announced that their first album since 1995’s Pygmalion will be out on May 5th and will be called Slowdive. Along with this news, they’ve released a new single off the upcoming LP titled “Sugar For The Pill”, a spaced-out, synth-tinged, and wonderfully calming track. The song follows “Star Roving”, a single the band released earlier in the year.
