Chance the Rapper, Belle and Sebastien Announce Upcoming Tours

Fresh off his success at this year’s Grammy Awards, Chance the Rapper has announced a tour so that he can spread some of that happiness. The tour is slated to begin at the end of April, with a final show on October 3rd being played at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. He will be in Toronto on May 24th, where he’s set to play the Budweiser Stage, so plan accordingly because you likely will want to be there. The A.V Club has the full touring schedule.


Belle and Sebastien have also announced plans for a new tour that will see them travel through seven cities, including Toronto on July 27th, where they will headline the Sony Centre alongside Julien Baker. Their last album was 2015’s Girls In Peacetime Want to Dance, and the band will use the tour to debut some new music. Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 17th. Los Campesinos! Releases New Song

Welsh-rockers Los Campesinos! have released a new song off their upcoming album, Sick Scenes, due out on February 24th. The latest single, “The Fall of Home” is the third release from the upcoming LP, and finds the band going uncharacteristically mellow, though the melancholic lyrics are still sharp as ever. Los Campesinos! will be at the Velvet Underground in Toronto on March 5th. Check out the new song.


Ryan Adams New Album Available to Stream

Ryan Adams has a new album, Prisoner, which is out this Friday February 17th, but the album can be streamed in its entirety at NPR. The album will be his latest since 2015’s release of “1989” in which he covered the Taylor Swift record. An upcoming tour will accompany the release and will be announced at a later date. Passion Pit Singer Supports Company for Mental Health

Michael Angelakos, frontman of Passion Pit, will be launching a new company aimed at helping musicians to receive legal, educational and healthcare support. The Wishart Group has already raised a significant amount of funds from various artists and will be primarily used as a mental health program. Angelakos was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder at 17, so the issue is one that hits close to home. Rolling Stone has the full story.

Mac Demarco Stars in Very Strange Comedy Video

Mac Demarco likes to do some weird things. To the point, he recently found himself in a sketch with the absurdist comedy group 2 Wet Crew, in which a cigar-smoking Demarco appears by the river to crack a man’s back, and things get weirder from there. You can see the video here.
